Natakasala
A splendind hall found at the north west corner of the building is
called as Natakasala. The hall itself is 135 feet long by 68 feet wide and its
height to the centre of the roof is 70 feet. The roof is designed with a pointed
arch made of brick and it is strengthened further by granite ribs sprining from
a double series one above the other. Behind the upper series of these arches
rums a gallery. The pillars of this hall are beautifully decorated with foliages
and anouncement and mythical beings. Each and every pillar has a different type
of stucco work, yali, a mythical animal takes an important place in the carvings.
Damcels are showering flowers from their baskets. Really this hall is a
marvellous one and a worth seeing portion.
